TERRIFIC JOB OPPORTUNITY IN SOUTHEAST!!!
A 625 bed teaching hospital now offers an excellent opportunity for an
individual to work in the Cancer Registry. Job responsibilities will
include casefinding, abstracting, ICD-O coding, SEER and AJCC TNM staging,
treatment and followup activities. Participation will also
be required in cancer research projects, quality assurance activities,
and patient care evaluation studies. The candidate should possess an
extensive background in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology,
and computer science.
To qualify, you must possess an associate degree in a health
care related field, and three years experience working in
a cancer registry, preferably in an ACOS approved cancer center
with an annual accession greater than 1200 cases. CTR or
CTR eligible, LPN, RN, ART, RRA required in addition to advanced
computer proficiency including database management, spreadsheet
analysis, and word processing competency. Strong written and
communication skills are required with the ability to interact
with medical/hospital staff, government agencies, and patients.
Accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, independent
work-style and a team centered attitude are a necessity.
